Windows Phone users will be able to purchase applications and have them charged against the credit card already linked to their Windows Live ID. The Web Marketplace will send an over-the-air SMS or email to Windows Phone devices with a link to the purchased application to make it easy for end users to retrieve their purchases.




There are now more than 30,000 Apps available in the Marketplace so now you have more variety to choose from.

Today an Image has been leaked on the internet of the new Samsung Focus S which was previously been announced for AT&T but no images were shown. Microsoft to release Windows phone 7.5 (Mango OS) on 15th September [Report]

So finally there are reports that claims that Microsoft will release their new OS called as WP 7.5 codename "Mango". This new OS was first introduced to Manufacturers at the end of July, and now it's reported to be released in Public Next week. oday on the Windows Phone Dev Podcast, Ryan and Travis Lowdermilk mentioned that the Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” update will be made available to existing Windows Phone users as soon as next week.

Next week is going to be a big week for Windows Phone. We have been told by various sources that Mango will be dropping, and the final tools will be dropping for developers. So that would be interesting and something to look forward to.
So it's been confirmed that Mango OS will release on September 15, As the Windows Phone Dev Podcast guys had been pretty accurate with their information previously, being the first to leak screenshots of the “Mango” update as well as correctly predicting the availability dates for the Mango developer betas.

So wait till September for your WP7 device to be updated to Mango OS. We'll update you more.

How to Install Mango Build 7712 On your WP7 Phone:

So Before we start, just make sure you have all these:

1. A Windows Phone 7 device running on NoDo aka that update that brought Copy-Paste To WP7
2. WP7 Support Tools which will be used to upgrade your phone. You may download the 32-bit or 64-bit version, depending on which bit-flavor of Windows you’re running.
3. An updating tool from Windows Phone Hacker.Click here to get it.
4. A PC running Windows Vista/7.
Now lets start,
and also make sure Zune isn’t running in the background!


Step 1: Extract the updating tool you downloaded to C:\ and run update.bat as administrator from the right-click menu.


Step 2: Zune will automatically launch once the tool is finished working and then from Zune, you will have to check for updates.


Step 3: The software will now show Windows Phone 7 Build 7401, you need to download and install this. Check for updates again and you will see Windows Phone 7 Build 7661 show up, you need to download and install this as well. Once installation is complete, the standard Zune will not be able to locate your phone. Now you will need to download and install a beta version of Zune to wrap things up which you can do from here .


Step 4: Now check for updates for the third time and install Windows Phone 7 Build 7712 – this is the latest Mango Build; download and install!

The new version will be freely available to all terminals with Windows Phone and can be downloaded at the beginning of this summer. More details about scheduling updates for the terminal will be announced closer to launch. Also, Windows Phone will be available for new terminals, new partners from the manufacturers.

Communication: connecting and sharing information is easier
Interaction with the smartphone can be complicated by a multitude of applications and accounts disconnected people trying to keep up with all the ways that communicate – from telephones, messages, emails, status updates, tweets, check- ins, by tagging and posting photos. To help users cope with the complexity created, update Mango organizes information around a person or group that interacts with and not around application use.
• Threads. You can toggle between messages, chat up, and Windows Live Messenger, all in the same conversation
• Groups. Contact groups Tiles custom Live turns to see the latest statuses and quickly send a message to an email or instant message to the entire group, directly from the Start screen
• Better integration with social networks. Twitter and LinkedIn contacts are integrated into the card and can include up Mango check-in, also have available one nine facial detection software that makes it easy tagging your photos or posting them on the Internet

Microsoft has revealed something about their new Mango OS Update for WP7 Phones. They gave an complete introduction about this update at MIX Developers Conference. Almost all of it's features have been discussed in this video. Mango update for Windows Phone 7 is way better than their old WP7 OS. It have brought some really great new features to the Windows Phones. Including multitasking, background audio, push notifications, raw sensor data and even much more.



For the new developer tools and platform, we asked ourselves – and many of you – what developers want most. We heard loud and clear the desire for the ability to create apps and games that addresses new scenarios with things like Web, Augmented Reality and messaging. We also heard that developers love the fact that their apps are tightly integrated into the OS and that they want even more visibility and access. We took that feedback, went to work on the next set of tools and here’s what we came up with:

We are empowering developers with new capabilities that enable new app scenarios, such as;


• “Multitasking” meets Integrated Experiences with Live Agents: Superior customer engagement with real time interactions via Live Tiles, Push Notifications, Deep Linking and Background Agents. Multitasking is also enhanced to allow for fast applications switching, as well as background audio and file transfer.
• Phone Integration has been greatly improved for developers looking to enable their applications to do more with their apps. The Live Tiles, Extras and push notifications functionality has been expanded to give developers more flexibility to engage with their customers.
• Developers will also have access to the Motion Sensor library and the camera, enabling amazing augmented reality experiences. The integration extends deeper into the operating system via sockets and database access now available to apps and games.
  
• Specific to the refreshed Windows Phone Developer Tools that arrive in May, we’ve also added;
  
• A new profiler and emulator for testing
• Support for Silverlight AND XNA in the same project
• Structured storage that enables access to SQL database
• Access to calendar and contacts through apps
• And much more
• Developers will be able to take advantage of all of the above when tools arrive in May.
