    So finally Microsoft made it Live, The Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango" Website now says that you'll recieve the Mango OS Notification Soon. Along with that Microsoft today also released the new Windows Phone Web Marketplace. So you now you dont have to wait too much just wait for the notification on your phone.

    Windows Phone 7.5 ("Mango") is available to install on some phones now. Look for a notification on your phone soon.
    So now you can go to mango.microsoft.com and learn the basics of Mango OS , they also give you an easy guide on how to upgrade and setup your phone. So if you have an PC with Zune installed in it then you dont have to worry you'll soon receive an notification.

    Other than that, to let you know that Microsoft also updated their Web Marketplace, now you'll find it more catchy and easy to use.The Web market place for Windows Phone users allow to select and buy Apps within the browser. Windows Phone users will be able to purchase applications and have them charged against the credit card already linked to their Windows Live ID. The Web Marketplace will send an over-the-air SMS or email to Windows Phone devices with a link to the purchased application to make it easy for end users to retrieve their purchases.


    There are now more than 30,000 Apps available in the Marketplace so now you have more variety to choose from.

    So finally there are reports that claims that Microsoft will release their new OS called as WP 7.5 codename "Mango". This new OS was first introduced to Manufacturers at the end of July, and now it's reported to be released in Public Next week. oday on the Windows Phone Dev Podcast, Ryan and Travis Lowdermilk mentioned that the Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” update will be made available to existing Windows Phone users as soon as next week.


    Here is the transcript of what they said in their podcast:
    Next week is going to be a big week for Windows Phone. We have been told by various sources that Mango will be dropping, and the final tools will be dropping for developers. So that would be interesting and something to look forward to.
    So it's been confirmed that Mango OS will release on September 15, As the Windows Phone Dev Podcast guys had been pretty accurate with their information previously, being the first to leak screenshots of the “Mango” update as well as correctly predicting the availability dates for the Mango developer betas.

    So wait till September for your WP7 device to be updated to Mango OS. We'll update you more.

    So that's really interesting to know that, Microsoft has now posted a Job for Developers. And this could be the hint toward the new Windows Phone 8 OS. Microsoft is now hiring Developers alegible for this job, The job description is asking for someone to join their Consumer Experience (ConX) team.
    The next version of Windows Phone (WP8) is currently codenamed “Apollo” and is rumoured for release sometime in the middle of 2012.

    Microsoft released the new Build 7712 of Mango update for their Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system a week ago for Developers, but there are many curious people who want to install this update on their phone but they doesn't have any Developer Account. So you're at the right place, We have here an Guide for you which will help you installing the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Update on your WP7 Phone. you just have to follow some simple steps.




    Disclaimer: Follow the following steps at your own risk only. Updating to Mango this way (unofficial) may void your warranty. This guide is for testing and educational purposes only. We are not to be held responsible for any loss of important data or malfunctioning of your Windows Phone.


    How to Install Mango Build 7712 On your WP7 Phone:

    So Before we start, just make sure you have all these:
    1. A Windows Phone 7 device running on NoDo aka that update that brought Copy-Paste To WP7
    2. WP7 Support Tools which will be used to upgrade your phone. You may download the 32-bit or 64-bit version, depending on which bit-flavor of Windows you’re running.
    3. An updating tool from Windows Phone Hacker.Click here to get it.
    4. A PC running Windows Vista/7.
    Now lets start,
    and also make sure Zune isn’t running in the background!


    Step 1: Extract the updating tool you downloaded to C:\ and run update.bat as administrator from the right-click menu.


    Step 2: Zune will automatically launch once the tool is finished working and then from Zune, you will have to check for updates.


    Step 3: The software will now show Windows Phone 7 Build 7401, you need to download and install this. Check for updates again and you will see Windows Phone 7 Build 7661 show up, you need to download and install this as well. Once installation is complete, the standard Zune will not be able to locate your phone. Now you will need to download and install a beta version of Zune to wrap things up which you can do from here .


    Step 4: Now check for updates for the third time and install Windows Phone 7 Build 7712 – this is the latest Mango Build; download and install!

Windows Phone 7 Market Place now surpasses 25,000 Apps [Report]

    According to new reports of Windows Phone Market Place, It has been discovered that there are now almost 25,000 App available for WP7 Devices. According to windowsphoneapplist.com the count of Apps in US WP7 Market Place are 25,017 while worldwide there are 24,784 applications as tracked by WP7Applist.

    WP7Applist have shared the complete statistics of WP7 Market Place, So here's how it is.

    So Right now there are almost 24,784 applications worldwide, while 4,025 of them are inactive, 51% are available for free. It has been estimated that the Paid Apps have an Average Price of $1.48 (Much more than iOS App Store). We've already discussed in detail that why WP7 Developers are charging more for their Apps, and we've also compared the Price difference between iOS and WP7 Apps. Check it out here.


    Microsoft has achieved this much of success in 263 days from when the application store was launched. They added almost 300 Apps in an single month that is April reaching 15,000 Mark. According to Microsoft, it now has over 40,000 Windows Phone application developers, who deliver an average of 100 new apps per day. Number of Approved Developers in Market place is almost 7000.


    This has been an great achievement for Microsoft but still it can't be compared with Apple's iOS Apps Store. It has recently been reported that there are now almost 100,000 Apps only Available for iPad and there is a total of 400,000+ Apps available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. If you wondered how long it took Apple to reach 25,000 apps – it took 238 days.

    But according to recent reports, Microsoft has now an contract with Nokia so this might give them a good time. Nokia said recently that it plans to ship Windows Phone branded devices to developers when they are available later this year.

Google Broke the Highest Traffic Record, Reaching 1 billion unique visitors per month [Report]

    It's been recorded for the first time that any site have reached this much of traffic. And Google have gained this achievement reaching One Billion Unique Visitors on the month of May. This statistics data has been collected by ComScore. According to their report, and to be more Precise, Google's sites traffic rose by 8.4 percent from 931 million a year ago to just over a billion--1,009,699,000.


    Google’s unique visitors per month have increased 8.4% to just over one billion. During the same period, Microsoft maintained the No. 2 position with 905 million unique visitors in May, up around 15%, while Facebook’s count surged by 30% to about 714 million visitors. In May, Yahoo saw 689 million visitors, up 10.8% over the past year, though it was surpassed by Facebook in October.

    It's been believed that Google's Search Engine and Gmail Services has got more market share than before, and also and the company bought video site YouTube, among other moves that led to its rise.

    But the Interesting part is, Google has achieved more traffic than Mircrosoft or Facebook. But the Site on which users spends more time is still facebook. Users spend 250 billion minutes in May on facebook, compared with 200 billion minutes at Google and 204 billion at Microsoft.

    So this means Google has remained successful in gaining this much of traffic, but the report reveals that users love to spend time on Facebook not Google.

Comparison between iPhone and Windows Phone 7 Games Prices [Why WP7 costs more?]

    There are now almost more than 400,000+ Apps in the Apple's App store. And it's also recently been reported that iPad is mostly used for gaming rather than normal usage. iPhone and iPod Touch is nowadays also an good portable devices for gaming. On the Other hand we have Windows Phone 7 which have also some great features in it including the Xbox Live integration which makes it even more tempting to play games on it. 
    But it's not the point that which device is better for gaming, the point is which one of these two provides best games with reasonable prices.

    When the prices were compared, It was found that Windows Phone 7 Apps are twice times more expensive than iPhone Apps(games). The whole list has been Published below where you can see that almost all of the iPhone games are cheaper than that of Windows Phone 7.

    Reason Why WP7 games are Expensive:

    There are some reasons which we think is the reason for the high prices of Windows Phone 7 apps. One is that the developers had to do more hard work to integrate their games with Xbox Live for Windows Phone 7 which is an extra feature that iPhone don't provide. And another reason for the high prices are that, there are millions of iPhone users who buy games(apps) in a large amount and developers make a large amount of revenue from it, on the other side Windows Phone 7 sale is not enough due to lack of users. So developers doesn't make much profit of it, so in order to maximize revenue, developers charge their games higher on WP7.

    According to Anoop Gupta, distinguished scientist, Microsoft Research:
    “The Kinect for Windows SDK opens up a world of possibilities to developers who want to unleash the power of Kinect technology on Windows, We can’t wait to see what this community will create as we work together to build more natural, intuitive computing experiences.”
    Features:

    • Raw Sensor Streams. Developers have access to raw data streams from depth sensor, color camera sensor and the four-element microphone array. These will allow them to build upon the low-level streams generated by the Kinect sensor.

    • Skeletal Tracking. The SDK has the capability to track the skeleton image of one or two people moving within the Kinect field of view, making it possible to create gesture-driven applications.

    • Advanced Audio Capabilities. Audio processing capabilities include sophisticated noise suppression and echo cancellation, beam formation to identify the current sound source, and integration with the Windows speech recognition API.

    • Ease of installation. The SDK quickly installs in a standard way for Windows 7 with no complex configuration required and a complete installer size of less than 100 MB. Developers can get up and running in just a few minutes with a standard standalone Kinect sensor unit widely available at retail.

    • Extensive documentation. The SDK includes more than 100 pages of high-quality technical documentation. In addition to built-in help files, the documentation includes detailed walkthroughs for most samples provided with the SDK.
