Developers: There are almost 36,000 Developers Right Now, and almost 1200 Developers register every Week.


App Downloading: An Average of 12 Apps are download by Windows Phone customer every Month, It takes 1.8 days, on average, for an app to get certified by Microsoft, and 62% of apps submitted get certified on their first attempt.


But If these Numbers are compared with other OS like iOS and Android, it really amazed us.
• Apple's iOS have almost 300,000 Apps in App Store, as of January 2011
• Google's Android have almost 100,000 Apps in Android Market as of  October 2010
But Microsoft’s Brandon Watson doesn't Appreciate the Huge number of App, As he explains that:
“We recognize the importance of getting great apps on our platform and not artificially inflating the number of actual apps available to customer by listing “wallpapers” as a category, or perhaps allowing competitor’s apps to run on the platform to increase “tonnage.” We also don’t believe in the practice of counting “lite” apps as unique quality content. (…) Finally, we don’t double and triple count apps which are submitted in multiple languages.,”
Microsoft is yet to release their latest WP7.5(Mango) OS Update for Windows Phone 7 devices, we'll see if there will be any huge change in this OS, and will this new update attract more users toward WP7.

Microsoft Also Opposes Apple's "App Store" Trademark Issue

Microsoft is also one of those companies who opposes this Apple useless "App Store" Trademark issue, which Apple have filed against Amazon. Microsoft does not support this Apple's Effort, as they have also filed Opposition to Apple Trademark issue. They have filed a new reply in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to refuse the Apple's Trademark application. Before that Microsoft has also once opposed Apple on Font Size issue, which states that Apple is breaking the rule by being too long and using a smaller font size to get in more of an argument.





According to CNET:
Microsoft struck back in a separate declaration filed today by linguistic expert Ronald R. Butters that attempts to poke holes in [Apple's hired linguist Robert A.] Leonard's claims, saying "the compound noun 'app store' means simply 'store at which apps are offered for sale,' which is merely a definition of the thing itself--a generic characterization."

Butters also knocks Leonard's sourcing of online dictionaries that had spelled out Apple's ties to the App Store moniker. "The online 'dictionary' sources Leonard cites were not written by established lexicographers and are without scientific authority," Butters wrote. "Even so, he included an online source that does, in fact, define app store as a generic term."
Microsoft's 9 Page (PDF) filed against Apple explains it all. 
"The undisputed facts establish that 'app store' means exactly what it says, a store offering apps, and is generic for the retail store services for which Apple seeks registration," the company wrote in today's filing. "Apple does not contest that its other services are ancillary and incidental to its retail store services. Summary judgment should be entered denying Apple's application in its entirety."
Microsoft argues that the simple fact that those companies were using the term in the first place indicates that the term is generic.The file posted above by Microsoft also points toward the Amazon's new "Appstore For Android" as another example of Generic Term.

iOS 4.3.1 Successfully Untethered Jailbroken by 1On1c [Video]

1On1c has released Video of iPod Touch 4G running iOS 4.3.1 successfully Untethered Jailbroken on his YouTube Channel, so this confirms that the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 has almost been achieved by Hacker. Early today Sn0wbreeze was released by IH8Sn0w to tethered Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1  But now it's a good news that the Untethered Jailbreak is not so far away, as it will soon be released.

Meanwhile everyone should have noticed that my prediction became true and Apple released iOS 4.3.1 in order to fix the PWN2OWN vulnerability in Safari.

It was very unlikely that Apple also fixed the kernel vulnerability I used for my untether exploit. Mainly because the kernelcache binary is about 8-10 MB in size and the likelihood that Apple finds the same vulnerability in that short amount of time was very low.

However you never know until you try it. So this morning when I woke up and saw that Sn0wbreeze 2.4 beta was released I thought it would be fun to create a new video.

Unfortunately Sn0wbreeze does not work with my iPad 1 and so I had to test with my iPod 4G.

In the video you can see how I switch off the iPod, then restart it, show the version, show that it is untethered and has the multitasking gestures, i show that you can buy ringtones and then I show cydia and the ninja jump game from last time.

Because several people misunderstood me in the past:

a. I repeatedly stated that I will not release a jailbreak tool - I will only give out the untether. I did not try yet, but if it is feasible the untether could be a cydia package.

b. While the vulnerability I use is in the iPad 2 kernel my untether will NOT SUPPORT the iPad 2, because there is no way to install it there (bootrom exploits fixed). - however Comex is working on that part.

c. I am not giving out any ETA again, because the Jailbreak community is simply nuts. Last time I gave an ETA and even before that had passed I got constantly insulted by people that were demanding an immediate release. Sorry guys the more you insult people with the knowledge to actually do what YOU WANT the less motivation there is to use our free time to give it to you.

d. The only reason why I did not finish the untether before the ETA was due to unexpected work overload in my real job. It had nothing todo with the untether being too hard or unreal.

e. I don't know why the dev team has not released a redsn0w that does tethered jailbreak for 4.3.1 - I would prefer that to be available, cause sn0wbreeze obviously does not work 100% yet.

Microsoft has now created the World Most Largest Touch Screen that is almost 234 Inch. And it's completely Touch capable.According to them they have created this Huge Touch Screen for use at Trade Shows. This giant screen has been created by Steriolize. StereoLize a firm who specialises in interactive multimedia presentations. And Microsoft Partnered themselves with Sterolize to create this Giant Touch Screen.







This Giant Touch Screen has been very Useful for Microsoft, as they used it in CEBIT 2011 earlier this Month.And the Spokespeople of Microsoft very easily and Firmly used it to Showcase the Details and Features of Internet Explorer 9, Windows Phone 7, and Microsoft Office.
