One of the report from an Analyst named Scott Sutherland at Wedbush Securities, suggested that there were almost 1 Million units of iPad sold in it's opening week. This is very amazing because when iPad 1 was launched, there were 1 Million Units sold in 28 days after the release and iPad 2 were sold with that same astonishing number within a week. And the good thing is that this time there were 70% new buyers of the iPad.
iPad 2 with it's release was available in Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy stores. And According to BestBuy, when iPad 2 was launched on Friday evening, some of their retail stores ran out of iPad 2 in just 10 Minutes.
Wedbush Securities analyst Scott Sutherland said:
“We would not be surprised to see Apple sell closer to 1 million iPad 2′s in the opening weekend.”
For your Information if you're going to buy iPad 2 this week than directly go to retail stores, because Apple faced delays of three to four weeks on online orders. And there's also shortage at Stores.
This report wasn't official, but we have to wait when apple release the Official Number of sold iPad 2s in Q1 2011.
