Skype has now released new updated version for MAC which supports the new Mac OS X Lion and HD Video Calling. This new version have also some improvements and Bugs fixes. Skype 5.3 for Mac OS X is built to work with Apple's newest desktop operating system, Lion, in addition to being compatible with past versions of OS X going all the way back to Leopard.








On the heels of our recent update to Skype 5.2 for Mac OS X, we are pleased to announce that we are making even more improvements to our Mac client with the release of Skype 5.3 for Mac OS X. Along with a number of fixes and improvements to the user interface, Skype 5.3 will feature support for the new Mac Lion and HD Video Calls.

Skype For Android Updated with Video Calling Feature [Download]

Skype has today announced the 2.0 version of Skype For Android which adds some new features to Android Phones and the biggest one, Video Calling Feature is now available. Microsoft Buys Skype for $8.5 billion : A step towards telecommunication

Skype is acquired again.eBay purchased the online voice service back in 2005 but never quite figured out what to do with it and made it independent once more.
Now Microsoft has acquired Skype for the sum of $8.5 billion in cash.
Microsoft said it plans to integrate Skype's technology in all of its platforms such as Windows, Xbox, Kinect and Windows Phone 7 to allow for seamless chat between all of your screens. It also said it plans to continue supporting existing platforms for the time being.



The utility of Skype is great but buying it with a billion dollar of $8.5 makes me feel that Microsoft really has a big plan with it.
Google held its annual developer conference in San Francisco this week and unveiled quite a few new initiatives and updates to its existing platforms.I am not interested to describe all those existing functions but the most interesting part of this is Android 3.0 for tablets such as the Motorola Xoom and forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.It’s a big blast that the new version of Android will support music and video . The new version of the Android software improves performance systemwide as well as with Flash video playback. It also allows you to scroll through more than five of your most recently used apps in the multitasking browser.


Google's video service is presently available online and for Android tablets running version 3.1 (Verizon Xooms presently). Android phones running version 2.2 and greater will see an update in the Android Marketplace in the coming weeks to allow streaming to those devices as well.

Facebook or Google to Buy Skype? [Report]

Reuters has recently reported, That Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is in talk with Skype to either Buy the Company or to form a Joint Venture. Other than that It's not Just facebook who want to Acquire Skype. Google has also started some discussion about forming Joint Venture with Skype.





One of the Reuters Sources told them that, Facebook might offer $3 billion and $4 billion to Buy Skype. Or it might be possible that Facebook and Skype Join hands for Better Services.


We have already seen some Skype and Facebook Partnership before, As when Skype released their Latest Skype 5.0 for Windows. We have seen the Facebook Integration in that Skype Application, You can actually see your News Feed and do anything on Facebook directly from your Skype.
Skype and Google declined to comment. Facebook was not immediately available to comment. The information is not public and the sources declined to be named.
So nothing is Official right now, And none of the Companies want to Comment on this Rumor Right now. We have to wait for more Confirmation abut this. That Skype has to choose to form a Joint venture with either Google or Facebook.
"When a company is not going public and it has been on file for a long time, one way or another something is going to happen," that source said.
