Overclock HP TouchPad To 1.9 GHz [Video Guide]

Some developers at XDA has now found a way to Overclock the new HP TouchPad to 1.9 GHz on both cores. So if you're the who got this new TouchPad recently with reduced price of $100 and you want to try something new with it, you can do it now. According to developers HP TouchPad can be overclocked to 1.9 GHz but there are some issues as most of the devices are getting freezes. So if you dont want that 1.9 Ghz mark, you can try to overclock it to 1.7 Ghz.

UnixPsycho’s Kernel as of 8/27/11 sometimes does not overclock the second core. This is widespread and many experience this. An alternate Kernel to download is Warthog. Warthog’s Kernel can do 1.7Ghz on both cores. If Unixpsycho’s Kernel does not work correctly for you, you can simply uninstall it VIA preware, restart your HP touchpad, find and install Warthog’s kernel via PREWARE, and restart your HP touchpad again. This could be good for you as well
1.9 GHz overclocked HP Touchpad is easy and is relatively safe to,
    • No noticeable effect on battery (stock usually pulls 550mah and 1.5ghz is pulling like 565mah.

    • Touchpad becomes incredibly fast, fluid, responsive, and is a joy to use

    • No heat created

    • Overclocks both cores

    • Feels like you have next generation hardware after the overclock

    • Smooth like butter

HP TouchPad Running Android 2.2 Froyo [Video]

One of an Youtube user has uploaded a video showing the new HP TouchPad, this is one of that discounted touchpad that is the 32GB $99 HP TouchPad, but the amazing thing about this is that it have got an Android 2.2 Froyo pre-installed in it rather than it's own WebOS.

    According to msacra(YouTube user),
A coworker ordered his HP Touchpad for $99 from bestbuy, this is the 32g, when he got it, it came with android already on it, I just ordered mine, so if anyone knows how android go on it, please let me know.
    Check out the video below:

And another picture has also been posted on Redit showing the HP TouchPad running Android 2.2.

So this Video might be fake as it is not possible that the company would install Android in it and then sell it, but seeing this picture makes it a little confusing.

What do you guys think? Does this look legit? Do you buy the story about it arriving with Android installed?

Apple also Files Case Against Motorola Xoom in Europe [Report]

In this recent week, There have been lots of reports that Apple has filed a case against Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe. And with this case Apple got successful, As a German court has granted a preliminary injunction blocking Samsung from selling the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets across all European Union nations, except for the Netherlands, leading barring sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe
And now once again Apple has also filed a case against Motorola's Xoom Tablet in Europe.

Apple isn't just going after the Samsung Galaxy Tab in Europe, it's also attacking the Motorola Xoom. Apple's lawsuit, which was filed in Germany and led to Tuesday's injunction barring sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe, makes reference to a separate complaint against the Motorola Xoom. Patent expert Florian Mueller, who told Computerworld on Tuesday that the mounting patent cases could cast a cloud over Android licensing, found the original lawsuit, filed in Dusseldorf, Germany, and pointed out the Motorola action. The reference in the suit says that Apple has also filed a complaint over the design of the Motorola Xoom, which runs the Android operating system. But it's unclear if Apple is seeking an injunction that would immediately prevent Motorola from importing the tablets into Europe.

Here's a passage from the Samsung complaint that mentions two other lawsuits Apple instigated against iPad competitors -- Motorola and a local German company named JAY-tech.

That passage says that Apple filed with the same court (district court of Düsseldorf) a complaint over the design of the Motorola Xoom, but it doesn't state whether that complaint included a request for a preliminary injunction. While it's not stated explicitly, I suppose that the complaint against Motorola also asks the court for an EU-wide injunction -- but perhaps just for a permanent injunction without a previous preliminary one.

Sony S1 And S2 Tablet to Feature Android 3.2 [Leaked Screenshot] [Details]

Sony Announced their first and Two new Tablets Sony S1 and S2 in late April 2011. These tablets are due to release in this fall. It was already believed that these new tablets will feature Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. But now an screenshot has been leaked by Carrypad that suggests that these tablets will feature Android 3.2. So this Android 3.2 is the last major build expected before Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS, it also have the new app-zoom feature.

CarryPad claims that they've seen the leaked documents of Sony S1 and S2 tablets, In which it has been revealed that they will have the new Android 3.2. Here's what they've got:

It's good to know that S1 and S2 will feature Android 3.2 because there are still lots of Tablet owners who haven't got the Android 3.1 update.

Other than that, We already knew that Sony would be including its Sony PlayStation Suite software on the tablets, but now it appears Sony will add Zinio and an official Chumby application into it.

Chumby (app) is a sort of internet companion that’s designed for a bedside table. Sony’s Dash ‘Internet Viewer’ is powered by the Chumby OS, so it makes sense that the S1 and S2 will be able to use the Chumby app to fill a Dash-like role, though the redundancy between Chumby and the ‘Dash Dock’ is perplexing.
here the screenshot shows the availability of Chumby App in S1 and S2:

And this one shows the pre installed Zinio App in these tablets:

Unfortunately, it looks like the company used a proprietary charging port as well, which means you’ll be out of luck if you need a charge and didn’t bring your adapter with you!

As these tablets are launching this fall, AT&T has already promised to carry the S2 but it has yet to name a price or launch date.

It has been done by the new Kernel Version of Tiamat 1.4.2. So after this Overclocking of 1.6 GHz, Motorola Xoom earned over over 4000 points in the benchmark app, Quadrant. It is True that Apple's iOS Tablet that is iPad is now one of the Most Famous Tablet Around. But lets not deny the Truth, there are more than one Android Tablet right now Available. Which is making very Hard for iPad to Stick to it's Top position. As recently Samsung Released their Two Galaxy tabs i.e 10.2 and 8.9 . The WSJ(Wallstreet Journal) Recently Interviewed the DELL's CEO "Michael Dell" about his strategy, his acquisition plans and his view of Apple Inc.'s iPad.
A question was Asked by WSJ Reporter:
WSJ: Do you think Android tablets will outpace iPads moving forward?

    (He Replied)

Not tomorrow. Not the next day. But again, if you look at 18 months ago, Android phones were like, "What is that?" And now there are more Android phones than iPhones. I don't see any reason why the same won't occur with Android tablets.
So it's true that most of Manufacturers are now Concentrating on Creating Android based Tablets. And every New Tablet that is released, got some new Features and Abilities. As today Sony Announced their Two New (Dual Screen) Tablets S1 and S2,These Two Tablets are different from all other Tablets because they have Dual Screen. In 2010, Sony launched a network platform called "Qriocity" which connects many of Sony's network-enabled devices, and has been expanding its services into global markets. Sony is introducing "Sony Tablet" to deliver an entertainment experience which integrates hardware with network services that deliver rich content.
